Busy families who are looking for ways to eat healthier, save money on food and reduce stress will benefit from Healthy Meals in a Hurry. The program is slated for Thursday, Jan. 19, from 5:30 to 7 pm at Central Christian Church in Jefferson.
Participants will get information from Katie Knobbe, ISU Extension & Outreach nutrition and wellness specialist, and leave with one freezer-ready meal for their family.
Participants will learn how to plan for quick healthy meals and stock their pantry staples. Cost is $15 and registration deadline is Jan. 16. Healthy Meals in a Hurry is designed to help consumers of all ages blend time-saving convenience with nutritious, dollar-stretching food choices.
